I had my contacts gone from my phone yesterday night. I have always been lumia user, and I am using lumia 730. I have all my contacts on hotmail id(microsoft id) I use to sync my profile with phone. when I bought new phone, it got synced but without any reason contacts are not shown in phone. contacts are still there on people.live.com as I checked but its not coming to my phone. I did a hard reset so it got added with few more but out of 900 contacts I am only seeing 200 contacts in phone. why sync is not happening? please help.

I've seen a few instances where syncing all the contacts could take awhile. What device are you using and have you checked to make sure there is no filter on where you're seeing contacts from another source but not from your Microsoft Account? Verify in People > Settings > Filter contact list.
