    So yah:

Nokia Lumia 800 - Coming soon | Smartphones | Phones & devices | TELUS Mobility

It says 4G HSPA 850/900/1900/2100, yet everywhere says the 800 unlocked coming to the states is AT & T branded to 850/1900/2100, think this is a typo?

If you buy a phone off contract from Telus, would it likely still be locked to them?

The 800 coming to Microsoft Store's for ATT will be optimized for their network. So I can see Nokia optimizing the 800 for Telus as well since they will be the exclusive carrier in Canada. Once its released we'll know for sure. But I can see that as accurate.

And yes I'm certain if you buy from Telus it will be locked to them. That's been the case with pretty much all their phones and I don't see this being any different.

I'm really considering this. I was going to wait and see who gets the Lumia 900, but Telus has an awesome promotional plan right now with 6 GB data at $70/month. Wow.

It would still be locked, but it isn't too difficult to get a phone carrier unlocked.

    It's a typo, the RM-819 is only tri-band, like the RM-801.

Ah ok, then I don't feel bad about buying an unlocked tri-band with 850 as soon as it's out. Thanks!

It is ATTs bands, but it's "faux G". In other words, the TELUS 800 will offer the full ATT HSDPA+ experience.
