I was poking around ebay the other day out of curiosity and noticed the 800 is still selling really well. In many cases there are auctions over $400.

Anyone have any ideas as to why knowing full well they won't update to WP8?

Some people don't care about updates as long as the phone works great now, which the 800 does. Also the fact that 4.3" is the new 3.7" might be pressing those with small hands to keep bidding.

Its a completely different case here in my country, Singapore.

I found multiple used Lumia 800 at 260 SGD, which is around 212 USD. This are sets with local warranty.

Found a developer device from Nokia World here for 220 SGD, about 180 USD.

Almost all of them are in great condition, other than some scratches on the camera area chrome.

So yeah, i think its depending on which country you're in.

They are now down to 129.99 ($210)in the U.K. Brand new from phones4u. It must be making second hand phones virtually worthless now.
