How do I upgrade the operating system of my Lumia 800 from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

Hi,
I have a lumia 800 phone I want to upgrade the OS of Phone to Windows 10, I checked in Zune but it shows my phone is on Windows 7.10 and it is latest not possible to upgrade further
I keep my phone connected with computer and fire up Zune then
Zune-->Settings-->Update ............Checks for updates
your phone software version 7.10 (8862) I have no option other than to click Ok.

Is it possible to upgrade this phone to Windows 10, if yes then how?

Unfortunately it's not possible to upgrade Windows phone 7 devices to Windows 10 or even Windows phone 8. Latest OS version for those devices is Windows phone 7.8

Windows 10 isn't available yet for the phone, and when it is, I doubt your Lumia 800 will get it... But I may be wrong. If I remember correctly, the only phones that will be able to get the Windows 10 upgrade will be WP8 and higher... Someone correct me if I am wrong.

U cannot upgrade to either Windows phone 8 or 10 since there is a kernel change from 7 to 8. So the last update offered to Windows phone 7 users is 7.8 which is a rip off from Windows phone 8. I think its time for you to upgrade the phone to a new Lumia windows phone 8.1 series or wait for flagship windows 10 device

You cannot do that. I am afraid you cannot even go to 7.8 since it is not supported anymore from MS. Buy a newer device. Lumia of course...
