Camera AutoFocus help

Whenever I try to take a closeup picture, It will not stay focused. I would focus it for a second, then goes back to normal as if there is nothing to focus on. Extremely frustrating when trying to take closeup pictures, and it seems that I only have this issue when trying to take a closeup. How can I fix this? I tried focusing it farther, then bringing the camera closer, but the quality is not great/blurry when bringing it closer.

I don't have the 810, but did you change your setup to close-up instead of auto in the camera option before the pic?
