Quick update:the Lumia 810 has been fixed!!! The replacement micro USB port from Digi Key works like a charm, the phone synced with the computer no problems and charges with a Nokia charger without any issues. Now I need to verify if it charges correctly with an off label charger which I currently don't have:-(

put a few good quality games on there and watch that storage space dissapear faster than crak at a halfway house...

Agreed, I have about a 100 odd apps and only 2.6GB available, that after I did some serious house cleaning because I was dangerously close to maxing out the on board storage! My Lumia 822 should arrive on Wednesday and I will post an update once I have played with it.

Just an update from me. I ordered 3 810's for my family and signed up with T-Mobile. These are our first Windows phones (we were on Virgin Mobile with Android) and they are NICE! We LOVE this operating system, the quality of the camera, etc. Thx for all the good advice here--I'm so glad we went with these.

My Lumia 810 has a dying charger port, so I need to either get it repaired / replaced (still under warranty), or just buy a new phone. I want the Lumia 521, but it doesn't have a front camera. The Moto G looks mighty enticing though...

You could also consider the Lumia 620 and 720. Both have Front facing cameras (720 is of better resolution though).

My son had a 521 and I just yesterday gave him an 810 as an upgrade. Same plan on T-Mo. Definitely an upgrade. If it had 16GB of RAM it would be basically ideal. With 8GB it is still a bit iffy as far as storage management but I put GDR3 there before I gave it to him so I hope that helps. Got it in like new condition for $125 shipped on Ebay... totally worth it!

T-Mobile uses AWS for HSPA+ and LTE Band 4. Keeping LTE aside, the 620 and 720 dont support AWS bands and hence one would not get 3G on them (unless in a refarmed area)

Ah yes, the band differences. Thanks for the correction :)

In addition, both the 620 and 720 have 512 MB of RAM, while the 810 has 1 GB while being close to in price. I also believe that 720 is not sold by any retailer in the US and would have to be imported.
