Would you be able to post a picture of your phone? I'd like to see what it looks like in the Blue Tek21 case.
Sure thing. Give me a day or two. Too busy playing with all my devices.

In a hurry, I did not even put the case in properly. In any case here are two pics, I will post more later. I actually like the black one on my daily driver better than the blue one:-)

that's true but that cyan cover makes it all so much better !
I actually always preferred the regular black back to the cyan cover. The regular back is just so nice to the touch and makes the phone grippier. I also found the cyan charging cover to make the phone slightly bulkier and didn't really like that.

I like the heft to it ^.^ but the black does make it grippier but I like the 810 with cyan it just give it a new look

It's an enjoyable device. Only real issue I have with it is the limited on board storage. If this was offered in 16 gigs I'd be very happy even without black. Sadly this phone will remain a monument of betrayal to me. Chances are I'll be looking to Samsung for my next phone. Choices that include expandable storage, sub-5 inch screen, and removable battery are extremely limited.

Blue just happens to be my favourite colour. I'm using a black case for my red 920, and I have the cyan theme. Then again, I had a black case for my cyan 900 too.

I like the Black Tek21 cover for my Lumia 810 better than the Blue one I posted pictures of. In terms of actual performance, I love the BodyGlove Blue/White case. I will post pics next week when I am back in CA.

I have cyan feather cases on both my 920 and 925. Love them!

Old saying... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

One of the nicer original selling points of the 810 was the different colored shells. If I remember correctly, there was to be many different colors to choose from so you could "personalize" it to your tastes. Cyan, red, grey, black, maybe yellow.

The Cyan wireless charging shell limped into a few select stores in a handful of states, but that's it.

Unfortunate :( I set my parents up with these phones and they have had nothing but issues with them. My mom can't even have more than a couple apps downloaded without the internal memory full. Can't receive texts or calls. We've done full factory resets and the problems still occur. It's pretty much a brick right now.

That's quite odd, since 8GB should not be full with only a few apps. I recommend downloading the Nokia Software Updater from Nokia and resetting the device with it. NSU will wipe the phone & reflash the firmware on the device with a fresh copy downloaded from Nokia's servers.

Also make sure they're not loading up the memory with pictures, videos, or music.

Lastly, as an 8GB phone, only around 4 - 6GB is available for use. As with any device, the 8GB moniker is the size of the actual memory, versus the usable memory on the device. Usually, the Operating System (System Memory) takes up roughly 2 - 3GB of that 8GB, leaving you with less than marketed memory.

Furthermore, even though this point I am unsure of whether this applies to smartphones, but with other memory devices in marketing, they use a scale of 1000MB per GB. However, a GB is actually 1024MB, meaning there is a gap between marketed memory and actual memory available.

With the possibility to get WP8.1 on the 810 via the developer program, I am very likely top keep it around for a lot longer.
For me this device is what I need and works just fine. 8GB of storage! Ohh well, I've got the apps I need and a 32GB memory card means plenty of storage for pics, music and maps.

Do update the phone to WP8.1 so that you can save apps to the SD card. Please use preview for developers. Good luck.

    Very un-eventful.
The 810 is now updated and running. Seems to be just fine.
The extra row of tiles also look good.

Is there a way to quickly move installed apps to the SD card?

To move apps to SD card follow these steps:
Click on settings > storage sense >apps+games
Once you see the listing of apps you can tap each app and then select it one by one or multiple select to move to SD card.

    Hope this helps.
