Hi,

Recently bought Lumia 820. In the Phone Dialer, the buttons have number as well as alphabets, I am not able to dial alphabets.
How does one go about using the 3 letter alphabets assigned to each button.?
thanks

HI,
I have old Windows CE 6.0 Mobile from ASUS which has this functionality,
Since the keypad does have this letters there must be a way of doing or just having them there is useless.

Regards
Prasanna

yeah...Here they are only for making cool sounding phone numbers i.e. dialing 1-900-MIX-A-LOT would be the same as dialing 1-900-649-2568. Also, if you had an old phone, you'd use that for your texting...but with this being a smartphone and all, it kind of already has a built in keyboard.

What I would like to see in the built in dialpad is that it auto search the phone book as you type in the number, so if you want to dial "tom" you just hit 866. Third party dialers does this but its just not the same.
