Wireless charging issue

Has anyone has an issue with wireless charging failing? My three month old 820 has stopped charging wirelessly. A little brass nib under the cover has come out which is the problem. Expansys has cited user damage and won't repair it. All I've done is change the the cover maybe once a week. Really disappointed. I'd love some feedback.

I almost feel like it's a design issue. If I get it fixed will it happen again I wonder?
