Problem with the microphone

Hi guys. Sorry if this or similar thread was already opened, but I didn't find it. So please if this thread already exist, don't replace my to that thread.

I have Lumia 820 for about 2 weeks and everyone have complained that they don't hear me well when we talk on the phone. After one week, I have removed the back mask that came with the phone and from then people can hear me very well. I have checked the hole for the microphone on the mask and it does not cover the microphone on my phone. So I am realy confused. How can back mask be fault for that? Can there be any other reason for my problem? Does anyone encounter the same problem as mine?

Hi,
I'm new to Lumia 820. I just got mine a couple of days ago from AT&T. I found the same problem. My wife is out of town so we talk every evening. She finds it difficult to hear me some times. She describes it as me being far away and sometimes as if something was scratching the mic. Anyone else has experienced this? Thanks!

Try to remove the mask that comes with the phone (not the mask in the color) and try to talk with her again.
