Changed my digitiser on the phone today (lumia 820) because it craked before, and the company I paid to replace the digitiser did a crap job. Didn't want to risk mucking up with a plain digitiser so I went the whole hog and bought a digitiser and bezel, just unscrew and replace. Followed the guide on youtube to the T. Digitiser works, the three lights come on (back, window, search) but no LCD. Oops I thought, maybe I havnt plugged in a ribbon cable? so I checked, all cables connected right. Maybe the digitiser is playing up, so I put the crap one bck on, still nothing. Put the new one back on...again and still nothing. Phone turns on, 3 buttons light up, receives call etc, but the LCD is dead.
There is a small tang on the side of the LCD which makes a connection to the bezel this was bent slightly, so I straightened it up. still nothing. HELP!!!! my wife is going mad because I told her it would be straight forward.
Is my LCD goosed?
