Lumia 822 Missed Call Tones

Hello!

I recently received my 822 and had a quick question.

Whenever I ignore or get a missed call in VIBRATE mode, the phone gives a quick tone afterwards. Despite the phone in vibrate, is it possible to avoid this subsequent tone? It kinda defeats the purpose of vibrate if it still makes noise.

I hope you understand what I am describing!

I even tried vibrate and ringer off (silent mode) and the phone sitll gives a 3-tone pulse after the caller stops calling.

Any help please?

I'm experiencing the same thing with my HTC 8x. You're right, totally defeats the purpose of silent mode.

Hmm. Try turning reminders and notification sounds off?

WP7 never did that - this is new with WP8. Hopefully they will fix it with the patch they're doing next month.

Yea that's really strange. I'm glad to not be the only one.

I had the same problem, and I had to have mine silent for school. My ghetto fix was to take an old pear of crap headphones and cut the end off of them, making sure there was still a little extra on there. I plugged the headphone jack into the phones in hole on top and voila no sound at all.

Ha, that's one way to do it! Hopefully if there's an update soon a fix will be included.

If you hit ignore you don't get the 3 tones. But I agree, if you can't get to your phone the 3 tones in silent mode seem to defeat the purpose.

Just tried with mine, yep mine does it too.
