This was not an issue before the update. And it's not just my 822, it's also happening to my oldest son's and to my mom's.

Beginning to really hate these phones.

You can turn off the auto-brightness in settings, but I personally like this feature, as it is there to preserve battery. This phone does a better job than any phone I've had in the past, IMO.

I've seen the other post since my prior comment here. There is a "fix" if it is the same issue that the 920 had after Portico:
