    Search for this topic did not yield anyone in my situation, sorry if I am repeating a question. I have two Verizon Nokia 822's, one of which has not yet recognized the Amber update. My phone updated on the day of release, however, my son's phone keeps saying that it is up to date whenever I check for updates, and it is not yet on Amber. A moderator on Windows Phone website said that was due to the slow roll-out, but it has been 6-7 weeks. That seems a bit excessive for a staggered roll out. Any thoughts? I have tried a soft reset, would rather avoid a hard reset unless no other option. Thanks.

    i have the same issue but im using straight talk and have no data and no mms

    This happened to a new (backup) 822 I got.

    It got solved after I made sure all of the HERE & Nokia apps were installed. The newer 822 got GDR2 right away, but aster a week of no Amber, I checked what was different between the 2 - when I added (updated) the HERE & Nokia apps Amber came soon after.

    Thanks, that was it exactly. My son had not updated his apps, and when we did, the phone recognized Amber.
