Caller id works but doesn't show contact's pictures

My old Lumia 800 always showed the picture of the contact that was calling me. I like that because at a glace you can see if the incoming call is from someone you know. My new Lumia 822 only shows the phone number of the incoming call, even for people in my contacts folder. I've tried saving the number and linking it to the person (already in contacts) but to no avail. Is there something I need to do to fix that or is it just a flaw with the new phone I will have to live with? Thanks
