Does anybody remember the leaks about a month before the Lumia 830 was announced claiming that there were three variants of the device? There were at&t, T-Mobile and Verizon models that were all slightly different. Do you think we will still see different models for each?

Here is an article from wpcentral regarding the leak:

Verizon Lumia 830 specs rumored to include 20.1 MP PureView camera, 4.5-inch display | Windows Phone Central

I really want an 830 on Verizon especially since they are in the process of retiring the icon. Perhaps the shelving of the icon is to make room for the 830? What do you all think?

Verizon is supposed to be getting the 735. I really hope they get the 830, but knowing Windows Phone, they won't, and it'll only be AT&T.

Well, Verizon did just retire the Lumia Icon, so they currently don't have any mid/high-end windows devices from nokia (the only high end set they have is the HTC M8). The 830 would fit in the gap nicely, hopefully we'll get some kind of announcement from microsoft soon about US availability.
