Rogers Lumia 830 will it supports AT&T LTE

Son's off stateside, I have a phone ungrade coming,
and I can pick up the Rogers Lumia 830 for $0
1) will it supports AT&T LTE
2) will he need to get it unlocked to work on AT&T

So I have to get it unlocked, Rogers should do that when I pick it.
Do they still make you wait 6 months, or can you just pay them to do it?

I believe they charge around $50 to unlock it right away

If you buy it outright yes they must (by law)unlock it right away if you ask for it. However, if you get the phone subsidized, they have up to 90 days to unlock it according to law.
I got one from Fido and asked (paid) to get the unlock code and I can tell you that they don't have the codes yet in their database so they should get back to me in 10 working days.

Trust me, I already tried 4 or 5 unlocking services including Mobileincanada and none of them worked. Unlocking codes haven't been released yet. Probably the phone is too new. Only way to unlock now is to go though the carrier.

Ah that sucks. Usually they are pretty fast at getting codes.
