Losing Notification Sounds

I have this weird issue where about once every 2 weeks I lose notification sounds (using a Lumia 830, RM-985). Text messages, calls, etc. no longer make noise. It's as if the phone thinks it's on vibrate only.

The speakers still work when this happens, it's just notification sounds that stop. Anyone else heard of this issue and if there's a permanent fix? The only thing that fixes it for me is restarting the phone.

I haven't noticed this on my RM-985 (not that it's happening...if it is I'm not around to notice). Do the notification sounds just start working again or are you doing something like soft reset to get them working again?

Yup. A soft reset fixes the issue for me.

I'll try and keep an ear opened to see if this happens on my phone. Maybe it's just a minor software issue that (maybe) the full Denim release will resolve.

I have the same problem. Denim did not fix it. Nothing does. Just happens from time to time.

Just wanted to update, but it did happen to me a couple of times and both times it came back without having to restart the phone. It did take a while though. During one instance I opened up the radio app and notification sounds were seemingly restored, though I believe that to be a coincidence.

This happens to my wife's 1520. A reboot fixes it, but she is highly annoyed.

This happens to me as well, but its all sounds, not just notifications. Soft reset doesn't fix it, I just have to wait for it to fix itself. I am using a RM-985 L830 as well.
