My Chinese Lumia 830... In the United States?

I just received an 830 in the mail today (unlocked) from Amazon. Upon turning on I noticed a bunch of Chinese apps. I connected the dots when I saw the carrier was 000-HK. I live in the US. Will this impact me at all, and does this mean I will receive updates as they come out in china?

If its the Hong Kong variant then it's mostly the RM-984 variant. It would work as expected minus the LTE on US carriers. You'll get updates once the HK variant ROMs are updated

Thanks! Yes, it is the RM-984. I checked it's LTE bands with AT&T's and I only get one band, but meh, it's not that much of a noticabke difference between H+ and 4g anyway
