Lumia 830 software update

Hi, I installed a software update last week and now my battery life is down 30%-40%, the phone is running very hot, apps are freezing/force closing and the touch sensitivity is unpredictable. I've also lost 4 of my favourite apps and everything they contained, and on reinstalling them they were hogging battery life? I can't find the software details in settings but presume others in the UK have had it?

What's your OS version?
Your best bet is to do hard reset. It usually fixes most of the problems.

All I can find is version 8.1 version 2. Thanks for your prompt advice but I'm worried about what else may be lost when I reinstall. My phone has been ruined by whatever has gone wrong with that last install. I haven't got much faith in Microsoft now.

I agree... Make backups via settings > backup and then reset your phone.

All you might loose is some progress inside games if you are letting the cloud back up in all categories. And it will probably help your situation tremendously.
