See below screenshot. No OTA yet even with leaving the insider program. Can anyone check? My device is an unlocked AT&T Lumia 830 RM-983 located in Belize C.A.

firmware update for at&t lumi 830.png

Update 1 this seems to be a firmware update only. the OS build is the same as when Denim was released back in oct-nov 2015

New firmware with new build date. I'll upgrade again to Windows 10 mobile and see if any change there. As far as I can tell, no new features.

Just got this today on my AT&T carrier locked 830. Not insider, just a regular update.
Update - only difference from your post is my Application Version is 3.15.4.28. Have no idea what that means - if anything.

Updated firmware. Now the screen occasionally flickers and tears when scrolling. >_<

There's a thread about it in the 930 forum.

http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...kering-fluttering-jumping-blinking-issue.html

I heard someone say that it could be related to signal interference. I don't know if that's true or not, but I have a poor signal at my cubicle and switching Airplane mode on and off temporarily fixed the issue. However, that could just be coincidence.

EDIT:

Second time in a row that switching Airplane mode on/off solved the issue.

I also have not noticed a speed/stability change after installing 10. Camera seems better, though that may just be in my head.

Always had an issue with my AT&T 830 dropping the wifi connection. Hasn't done it since new firmware installation yesterday. Will keep an eye on it.

Not sure if it is because of reinstalling wp10 from wp8.1 (if something not right from previous installation) or the new firmware...

1) Image size (8mp + DNG) option and live photo option are now back in the Camera Settings.
2) LTE is sticking during HD Voice capable calls and shows ATT HD Voice text on the call screen.
3) Phone's SensorCore now operating in Microsoft Health.

Not sure about anything else...

Call forwarding works now. Although I will admit that it has been a while since I tried it, so I don't know if it got fixed some other way.

On January 8, user okizen noticed a firmware advance in WDRT for 1520 RM-937. http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...-go-back-wp-8-1-after-installing-wp-10-a.html

I checked for an OTA with my 1520.3 RM-938 and found none. Then I opened WDRT and it bumped up from 3.1.4 to 3.1.5 with a changelog showing "bug fixes."

WDRT then delivered me new firmware:

My 1520.3 is running 8.1 Update + Denim. (8.10.14234.375) It has never been on Insider or Preview before that. Always official. A manual check showed no updates.

WPRT updated itself to 3.1.5 for me today. The changelog over 3.1.4 showed only bug fixes. I plugged into USB and see this:

Capture02.png

I made my backup and installed the update. It was a 1.62GB package.

The update forced me into setup when the phone rebooted.

motion data, touch and call + SMS filter all received updates. I can tell because I have the old school Settings menu where it is all one column and the most recently updated items fall to the bottom of the list. I had an OTA Hey Cortana update 2 days ago and now the 3 listed are beneath that.

In about, I see the same OS version number as before (8.10.14234.375) and the promised new Firmware revision number shown in the pic above.

Now I see this thread and note that 830 and 930 are getting new firmwares. Anyone have package sizes? Does it force clean install/new setup via WDRT or OTA?

I have a theory this may be prep for the official W10M upgrade...

Mine was 1.62GB for 1520.3... 1.7GB for RM-983... And a forced Setup on both.

Seems a bit much for squashing bugs, doesn't it? Anyone else think it might be prep for W10M?

I will add that I've been checking for the upgrade on my BLU Win HD LTE almost daily for some time now. That doesn't get WDRT support so all checks are OTA. No new firmware there, but I wouldn't expect any until they push the W10M upgrade anyway. Unless it was a hotfix for something.

Thx for the heads-up, dude! I guess I'm kinda insane but I'm DL-ing and trying out the new firmware as I write this. I decided on a simple reset and restore of my previous Win 10 setup instead of starting completely from scratch *again* since the previous setup was working fairly well (if not 100% trouble free). Still in the middle of the restore/download cycle right now. I'll keep you guys posted...
