I agree with that, WP is still gathering pace. I think Nokia will speed up the process, but ultimately, (IMO) WP would achieve it's marketshare in the end. As for Nokia... the ice was slowly starting to melt beneath them.
Im inclined to say they're saving each other, but honestly speaking I think nokia is saving windows phone. WP has other manufactures, but none of them have come close to making a phone the mass public wanted. The Titan is the only other successful Windows Phone product Launch that resulted in sold out quantities and backorders. Short of Nokia, what exciting product has any of the other manufacturers shown you that you're super excited to hold in your hand??
I think that just about explains who's saving who.
