So, about that $100 from Nokia...

Will that be applied automatically to our bill or do we need to contact AT&T about it?

Have to say Nokia definitely has an interest in keeping its customers happy.

After searching through other threads it appears that indeed the credit will be automatically applied to the bill. No need to contact ATT or Nokia.

What is this 100$ accessory credit I hear people talking about?

Also, I'm new to wp7, so how do we install updates? Do updates wipe everything? I heard there was an update out for this phone already.

If you go to a COR store in the Illinois/Wisconsin, and possibly ohio midwest area (not all cor stores across the nation offer this), you get to walk out with $100 in accessories for free with the purchase of the phone.

To install updates, use the ZUNE software on your computer. It will not wipe everything on your phone. Everything will stay intact.

Cool thanks. What Zune software exactly?

Zune software. From M$ website. Google it. Pretty straight forward really. Also, do some digging on this forum. Lots of good info on the questions you've just asked.

Be patient. It will continue some steps in the update process seem to take forever and it seems like nothing is happening. Just be still and it will finish and all will be well!

We were in the AT&T store tonight and the manager said the credit was supposed to show up in your next billing cycle. It won't deduct from your current bill.

I don't think the $100 rebate applies to everyone. In an email I received from Nokia it states that ONLY the customers experiencing data loss will get the credit...I was under the impression everyone that bought one was getting the rebate?? here's the email I got:

Hi Nicholas,

Thank you for emailing the Nokia USA Careline.

In response to your concern, we understand that you would like to know on how to get the $100 credit offer. Please be reminded that the $100 credit offer (AT&T bill) is only applicable to the owners of the Nokia Lumia 900 devices with issues on connecting to the internet using the data connection from AT&T.

If you are having issues with connecting to the internet using the data connection from AT&T, you will have two options:

1. Update the latest software of the Nokia Lumia 900 device via Zune on or around April 16, 2012.
2. Swap your current Lumia 900 device for an updated Lumia 900 phone.

As a gesture of good will, every individual who has already purchased a Nokia Lumia 900 or who will purchase one from April 11 up to April 22 directly from AT&T Store, with the same data connection issue, will receive a $100 credit to their AT&T bill.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again. To ensure proper handling of your case, kindly continue using the current subject line.

You may also call Nokia Careline at 1-888-665-4228 from Mondays to Fridays at 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. EST and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. EST for immediate assistance.

Thank you for your e-mail.

Kind regards,

Reading the above email solidifies that everyone that purchased a 900 in the first batch will he getting the $100 credit, not just the ones with the connectivity issues.
