TRS Earphone Issues

Does anyone else have problems using normal no-mic earphones with their L900?

I'm guessing this is a software issue that just hasn't been addressed yet. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have an anomalous hardware issue.

I have a pair of Shures that I would prefer to keep using but the mic/signal line on the phone jack is causing problems. The sound will drop off and go tinny while the voice activation will automatically trigger.

And yes, there is a mic cable from Shure but it is not worth it to me.

Has anyone listened to music with normal earphones?

I find it hard to believe I'm the only person who doesn't shell out for a mic'ed earphone.

Nokia was unhelpful. The only thing left is a trek to the AT&T store next week to try out another phone and possibly get a replacement.

I have a normal pair of sennheiser headphones with no mic that Ive used with no problems
