    Why is it that when I search up a destination on Nokia drive, it shows me directions that are over 500 miles away?

    because they're secretly being paid by the oil companies to make you burn lots of gas!


    but seriously, it could be if you do a search before it gets a location fix on you, I know bing maps would do that if I searched too quickly after opening the app...

    so long as it knows where I am, (for me at least) the results are always ones that are close by

    Nokia Drive worked perfectly for me today. It even warned me about details like which exit to take on the roundabout or that a street was curving into a turn. My one complaint so far is that I can't assign a friendly name to a custom-entered address. F.e. "Work".
