Unlock - Europe

Can this phone be unlocked and used on other carriers(europe)? Is anyone using it that way?

My plan is to buy it from AT&T and directly unlock it from my carrier here in Turkey. They take my imei number and note down to their database. Then it works. Thats how I did with my older phones.
Is this possible with the at&t version?

Good luck with that I would suspect no but hopefully it wourks ATT will not give you an unlock code apparently during the exclusivity period from what I've read in the forums.

I never used att codes. My carrier handled the job. But the phones I got were unlockable by 3rd party's also. This is not, so my carrier might have difficulty also. If it is, i am not gonna buy it.
