Two questions about the phone

I'm debating between getting the 8X and the Lumia 920 (ahead of time), and I have two questions/concerns about the 920:

1. Does it have an LED notification light like the 8X?

2. Why exactly did NOKIA put the 3 buttons (back/windows/search) directly below the screen and not center them out like on the 8X? I love the design of the 920 and all, but the non-centered buttons really throws it off for me... Is there a reason behind the button placement?

1. No.

2. I don't know. You could a. Ask a Nokia Engineer. or
b. Wait until the phone comes out and see if there is some reason that becomes readily apparent when it is in your hand.

2. Might be to give more room at bottom for holding phone without hitting buttons? I occasionally have held my 900 between 2 fingers at the bottom and always wind up hitting search or back.
