i'm inclined towards matte because there's a scratch-test video on youtube using the 920's promotional kit that included one of the glossy polycarbonate bodies. coins in the same pocket as the 920 will lead to micro-scratches. not that i intend to do that but i figure the principle carries over in that its susceptible to those little scratches.

You can polish out the scratches on the glossy but you can't restore the matte finish. Doing so would make it glossy. You would probably have to do some sort of restore job with paint & sand blasting ?_?

Thanks for the idea. I'll get rich by designing a home sand-blasting kit for matte phones.
