How do you enter a URL with a port number in IE?

I'm having trouble with IE on my 920 when browsing a web admin page that uses a non standard port. I'm talking about a URL of a site that uses a non-standard port.

Eg.

https://www.URLofAdministrationPage.com:9000


When I try this, it does not see the :XXXX as the port, but rather part of the FQDN and tries to resolve it as part of the hostname.
