What a bunch of BS. Just list 20% of my battery on a 8 minute phone call. Since I can't get a replacement cyan 920 by Monday in getting rid of my Lumia. I don't want black white or red I wanted cyan. My battery is draining fast and I have everything off. Att said I have to ship it back and won't receive a replacement until the end of the month unless I go with another color. Good luck with all of your phones.

Did you disable Nokia Drive from running in the background? Did you remove any Gmail accounts linked? Did you run your battery down completely and then recharged it for like 6-7 hours?

Any time-> 920 of another colour
Change to another phone-> No 920
Wait for end of the month-> 920 Cyan

It's quite easy to tell that you've just incurred yourself a huge opportunity cost just by giving up on your 920. But, judging from your post, you don't deserve to own one either. :p have fun with your next phone! :)

P.S. I wonder what phone you're going to get next. Cyan iPhone? Cyan 8X? Or Cyan note2?

I dont deserve one because I'm upset that the phone I just received a few days ago doesn't work as advertised. That I purchased a specific color of said device and I won't receive a replacement for a few weeks that I have until Wednesday to get a replacement or all phones after that will be refurbished phones. Ok sorry for being an angry consumer and thinking that after spending my money on something that it would last more than a few hours if I font touch it but if I make a phone call and check out a website for 5 min that my phone above the battery would get hot and my battery drains out. Once again sorry

Go to a real AT&T Store. They order one for you and you can replace it on the fly after it has been shipped to AT&T.
But hey, factory-reset it first, log in with your live account, wait 10min and everything is back online. No hussle. Its like giving the car back because windows-whiper is making noises -.-

No you don't deserve the responses you've been given. I've had the same issue but now after letting the battery drain completely, then charged all the way up... the phone lasts like a champ. it doesn't get super hot anymore, and I was playing angry birds star wars and mdoerately using the phone for a half hour and some magical way it still showed 100%
So yes, you need to condition your battery. It's more improtant on this phone than any I've owned strangely enough. I wouldn't return the Cyan Lumia, kind of hasty. You made a good choice posting about it here though to see if there is a solution.

I think we'll get a patch, but I know Nokia Drive+ and NFC EAT through the battery like pacman. Even with my improved "day 3" battery, Nokia Drive buttraped it. IDK why. Perhaps tomorrow it will be even better :)

I'm considering this as well.

1. The phone won't "lock" anytime I talk on the phone for more than 10 minutes. The only way I can revive it is by powering it down. Generally at some point during the call the proximity sensor will stop working, triggering the screen to stay on.
2. The vibrator has gone from silent to sounding like it's going to rattle apart at any moment.
3. The front camera is full of dust.
4. Last night after a phone call and running through my power down routine, the phone cycled 3 times during the power up.
5. This is a gripe for WP in general: No way to just search phone contacts. I don't want my entire Facebook congregation to pop up whenever I try to call my buddy, girlfriend, whoever. Solved Number 5.

If there isn't an update by Tomorrow to fix the locking issues, this phone is going swapped for an iPhone 5. I can't risk being stuck with a defective phone/software seeing as the 14th day of ownership falls during thanksgiving.

Have you factory data'd it?

This has *nothing* to do with this thread, but I couldnt help but notice the fellow Saluki in the thread! haha

As far as the OP, maybe after the factory reset take the phone to a store and see what they can do about a cyan replacement

I think it's the tone of your post that is turning people off. No new product launch is perfect - ever. Did you try disabling NFC? Are you on a Microcell?

I would try a hard reset too. My wife's phone's battery drained very quickly too at first so I did a hard reset (I do that right away on any phone I get). It's great now. Battery life is perfect.

I had the same problem. I used my phone until the battery drained (liteterally until the phone says "goodbye" and shuts down because of low battery). Then I charged it over night. Did a hard reset (held down volume down and lock keys) and now all is good.

1 live 1 Gmail not linked. I've drained the battery 2 times and filled charged it 2 times. It had until tomorrow to fix its self or its getting punted. As for the tone well sorry for that but its from speaking to brain dead people on the phone from Nokia and att. The Lumia specialist at nokia said all phones get hot after 3 minutes of use and being that it has a large screen I shoulder expect a good battery life ?
