    When the Lumia 920 has been asleep, is the only way activate the screen the button on the side? This just feels really awkward coming from IOS and having a home button in the middle.

    Yes, that is the only way. You could hold down the camera button also to go straight to camera and the screen would turn on then. Other than that no.

    And just to add, even if you have a lock screen password, you can go directly to the camera just by pressing the camera button. Great for when you want to take a fast and spontaneous picture. Oh and don't worry OP, the rest of the phone remains locked. :)

    It's just a different way of doing things. You will get used to it. I rather like it and would prefer we had even fewer buttons (no capacitive buttons either). I'd like to see WP go all software a la Android.
