Endless text messaging syncing

I did a hard reset last night. Phone seems fine except when I look under backup, it shows text message backup as off. Then I tap it to see, and it says "syncing..." but it has been doing this since I restarted the phone. A soft reset didn't stop it, and I don't really care to do another hard reset. Has this happened to anyone else? Btw all of my texts already seem to have synced despite this message.

Well, problem solved with another factory reset. So glad I didn't get bricked.

I have the same issue, only my messages are not synced. I discovered this when I went in to ATT to do a warranty swap. Does anyone have a solution for this that doesn't involve a factory reset? I don't want to lose my messages.
