My lumia 920 cant connect to AD HOC

Hi All,

This is my first post and I recently just got my very own lumia 920 (VERY VERY happy with it, Ill be over the moon if I can upgrade it to portico). Anyway Im poor and so I cant afford long term run 3G ...and to top it off, I have a stingy bos. he doesnt like to share his office wifi to his employee. So what I did in the past is to use Ad Hoc to connect to internet.

So now, my lumia I cant seems to find my SSID name. So I was wondering if I can ask for professional advice.

1 . Can I connect to internet using nokia cable ? (plugging to my office computer and share its LAN internet)
2. Maybe Trick that I can play around or software to twick my current USB WIFI adaptor?
3. Or by buying a usb wifi router solve my problem? (correct me if im wrong, USB wifi adaptor is to receiver wifi.. while usb wifi router is to emit data?)

Please advice... I need a device that conceive well so my bos wont find out.

** UPDATE:

i found a solution.. a simplest solution.
Use mhotspot (software) ... if you already have adaptor. u can use mhotspot to create a hotspot in your pc.
