Location icon

Hi, I've just received my replacement 920 and noticed that when i use nokia maps the location icon at the top of the screen remains constantly on until i vacate maps .......i'm sure that on my previous 920 the icon would only appear for a few seconds and then disappear, can someone confirm this?
Also, occasionally, maps would show my location to be 2 miles from where i'm actually located.........my 1st 920 never did this.

On my 920 the entire screen is taken up with the map so I can't see the usual status bar showing the clock, signal bar etc. I'm running version 3.1.177.8 with map data 8.0.48.113.

It is when i use nokia ​maps that i am able to see the constantly on location icon via the drop down status bar, NOT nokia drive which, as you say, takes up the entire screen.
Can you let me know if your icon is always on when using nokia maps please.

I was referring to Nokia Maps. If you have "Use my location" activated in settings then the icon will be there in the drop down which is as it should be. If you turn location off then the icon will disappear.
