I really wish people would stop singling out the camera as the defining feature on cell phones. Sure it's nice to have, but they will never match a stand alone camera.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see the 920 named "best" in something, but it seems like almost every smart phone review comes down to the camera and let's face it...picture quality is very subjective based on who's viewing.

The best camera is the one you have with you. Sure I have a DSLR, but I'm not lugging that thing around everywhere. I have a Galaxy Camera which I love, but even it is too big to carry around all the time. The 920 works great in a pinch if you have no other camera with you and while not as nice as a dedicated camera it performs admirably. As far as camera being a defining feature, I don't think that is entirely true. If it was this thing would sell as well as the iPhone or GS3. Hardware pretty much has taken a backseat to software in the smartphone wars.

I will have to disagree.. my smartphone replaced my standalone camera 3 years ago, and I haven't looked back. I still have my DSLR for special occasions, but I sold all my compacts.

Here is the result, these are all shot with my phone/s .. no post processing of any kind.

also, I took this yesterday.. look at the detail, and tell me that your point and shoot can do better :)

edit. only this one is post processed.. I made an HDR with exposure values of -1, 0, +1 and put them together on my PC later

Those are some really impressive photos taken with both your N8 and 808.

Words can't describe how much I miss my N8.

Thanks!

And yes, once you get used to having that kind of tech in your pocket anywhere you go, its really hard to switch...especially if you like photography.. everything else feels like a downgrade. Its even worse with the 808 because of the flash performance and zooming.

The best camera is the one you have with you.

Word.
