I have a network where in one part of my condo I have to run n/a on a 5ghz freq. My OneX+, Samsung Smart PC work fine, but my Lumia 920 fails to pick up the signal. Any reason on why that is so? I use Zyxell 3166 access points. Seems strange to me as the 920 is listed as a/b/g/n device.

Should I switch my network from 20 to 40 mhz? I use WPA2... Any special options for 5 ghz?

Switching 20 to 40 MHz just adds a second channel to your network, requiring a second radio to broadcast on. It's useful in areas with high amounts of interference, or traffic. For most home installations, it does nothing. It is more likely that your ssid is hidden or out of range.
