Hi guys

Im in trouble

My integrated/linked mailbox tile pins itself to my home screen at rebooting
I delete it each time and as soon as i reboot its back
I don't want to keep it on my home screen because i believe it facilitates a quick draining battery

PLEASE HELP ME IM SCARED
the phone is just 2 days old

I noticed this activity after downloading Here Drive by the way

Go to settings / email & accounts and try to delete the mailbox by holding down the account in question. You wont be able to delete the Microsoft Hotmail account if that's the one you are referring to as its needed by the OS and will always be there but you should be able to delete its tile from the main screen.

btw Why are you rebooting so much, it should be a rare event with WP ?

hi Gmotagi

i the phone rebooted while i was making a language change (keyboard)
i noticed that the tile had come back even after id deleted it
i found it strange so i deleted it again and rebooted again just out of curiosity
and the bloody tile was back!

i did as you said, unlinked the inboxes
rebooted
gmail and yahoo tiles attached themselves to the screen this time
deleted/unpinned them
rebooted
nothing come back
verified
nothing came back
so linked the inboxes again
rebooted
it came back again!

so il have to keep them separated till the bug is fixed

but thanks a lot

If you don't want the mail you can just go into the account settings (by tapping on the account under email+accounts) and uncheck the email box. However, the live tiles do not add to the battery drain in any way, as the email updates can happen behind the scenes when the phone is locked.
