Yes, just flash with a firmware for your original product code.

I would like to see a full size 5+mpixel image from a small smartphone sensor that doesn't show that in full resolution.

I think people are really beginning to get too picky over a cell phone camera.

This is not a full frame SLR folks.
No. but the N8 didnt have this issue and in my opinion, the N8 camera is better than the 920!

dude N8 is equipped with a crazy size CMOS, 12MP, and a mechanical shutter! Its not even a fair comparison.

The links for the GDR2 beta2 firmware wont allow you to flash your device. It fails when it checks the signature of the files.

If you are cross flashing aka flashing rom that is not directed to your regional model then it will prevent you from doing it.
However you can turn on the manual flash function. Now it is kinda complicated to tell which is safe to cross flash which is not, just so you know why people are able to do it.

I've been trying to download the new firmware and the ffu file stops downloading at 236Mb. Anybody else have this problem. I've already tried 4 times and each time it stops downloading at exactly that size.

I live in Finland and the new GDR2 update is for Sweden so it's safe to flash here. How do I turn on the manual flash thing?

Ok, a little update for those wondering about battery life. On balance, I'd say it's unchanged. There is perhaps a slight reduction in drain when the screen is on, but there are so many other factors involved that it's hard to say for sure. All I can say is that with what I would consider to be a day of normal use, I got home with a normal level of charge remaining.

Has it stopped randomly discharging when not in use? Or does your phone never do that anyway.

usually if you are flashing any rom with the same RM code then should be fine without any problem. If it shows error, turn off your phone and do it under "product mode: power off".
Sometimes renaming the file to your suppose variant also helps to trick the NCS.
In case this does not work, or you are actually trying to flash say US att to some international version, then you might need something call "phoenix"
Anyways proceed with caution. Good luck and always have a backup copy of your current rom.

I've never had that issue - I've always been able to correlate usage and drain.

Yes, that is not the GDR2 firmware. It's just a general firmware update.

GDR2 files have been removed from Navifirm and nobody seems to have the files anymore.

usually this is when it somehow detects the rom is not intend for your phone variant. The work around that I always use it to flash it as if its brick.
Unfortunately I do not have time to test this firmware out myself to give you a solution.
