still no issues with calls, sms or data connections...all working as expected. the only syncing i have setup is facebook which works fine, get the notification on the facebook tile and "me" tile. My only complaint so far is battery, medium use (some surfing, downloaded a few apps, about 10 texts and 2 calls) and its at 59%, last charged at 1am, woke up this morning at 93%. its nor horrible but not as good as i expected, my S3 was slightly better...however that took me a few weeks to tweak.

internet, and no that's not a stupid question at since I should have specified. I now realize that my mms apn settings disappeared completely.

And yes, Rogers sim was installed.

My internet and mms apn were blank since the beginning in November 2012.

After update, my internet sharing works now. I subscribe to the 5gb plan with sharing. Prior to this, it won't work even though I paid for the plan.

Unlocked Rogers 920 on ATT.

On the phone with Rogers again as my connection has been absolute garbage, no LTE, no connection, very often at max 3G and i'm running below 5 on the down and below 0.5 on the up. They are absolutely clueless as to what's happening, they actually offered me to go to a 3rd party to pay money and fix my phone at which point I've notified them that they are likely in breach of contract as they have sold me the device, pushed the update to my phone and are now charging me for an LTE data plan that is far from LTE in reality.

This is getting really frustrating to be honest. The only positive for me from the firmware was the screen brightness adjustment. I'll take the vibration rattle back gladly, the vibrate now is so weak, its almost non existant and storage was never an issue even though Other was getting pretty big.

Question... Does this update apply to people who have unlocked Rogers Lumia 920s that they plan on using on T-Mobile? I'm considering buying one from Negri and want to know if I would get the 1308 update... Thanks in advance.

Just an update. I haven't experienced any connections issues while out and about. Spent yesterday around Brampton and today in Newmarket, connection flawless. Although I can't say I'm impressed with the battery...low to medium use is producing less than average life...especially in comparison to ip5 and s3.

I'm wondering if the newer hardware models aren't experiencing the same issues as the launch devices in terms of connection?hmmm.

I got mine this weekend and using it on T-Mobile, working great so far. Just a quick note, don't install the Access Point app, it will block your internet sharing.

Thanks! I don't use Internet sharing anyway, though, so I definitely wouldn't get the Access Point app. Good to know the update is viable for the Rogers 920s running on T-Mo.

Not sure if anyone else has noticing this.. Since I've been running 1308 my connectivity issues have actually becoming increasingly worse. At first I would lose signal entirely only a few times a day. Now I can actually watch my display the no signal icon every few min and it lasts about 30-60 sec every time. This weekend I missed over 15 calls that went straight to voicemail. I had 3 vmails come in for calls I didn't know I missed as well. Saturday I received 7 texts from someone all at once that were actually sent over a period of a few hours. My friends and family have become very annoyed with me and I've actually gotten to a point where I have to notify everyone that they may need to keep calling me over a 5 min period.

To recap I have the yellow L920 on Rogers in dt Toronto.

Have you installed the access point app to set your APN settings to Rogers?

Yup it was previously installed. I noticed immediately after the update I had to manually select Rogers LTE as the connection. And that's what's been selected ever since. I even decided to go into the cellular settings and manually select Rogers as the network selection. Also no improvements there.

It's quite possible I am one of the severe cases here but I'm very close to the point of considering sending my phone in for service to Nokia. Although I don't know exactly how they can help unless they re-flash my phone to a pre-1308 firmware. But then I lose all my game saves and a few other odds and ends which at the same time makes me hesitant.

I really just want this fix to come sooner than most because my phone is rendered useless for almost 50% of the time it's on. And with no ETA in sight I really don't know what I'm supposed to do.

Well, I decided to jump on the update (non Rogers L920)
Now, in an area with 4 LTE bars, I am full 4G instead and the speedtest demonstrates the drop. :(
Anyone else face this and resolved it?

Oh FFS
I went into Access Point and they are ALL "Inactive"
Even after I activate my carrier, it does not 'stick' - when I come back they are all 'inactive' again.

EDIT add: Manual update of Access Point...lets see if this fixes it
EDIT2: Nope, still doesn't stick. This pisses me off.

Anyone else face the same issue?

Ludon, hang in there. I'm working with some special tech support guy with Rogers (essentially a result of me ripping a tech customer service guy to shreds ending with a call back from the specialist about 8 hours later) to figure this out. He said there might be an issue with the profile on the network as a result of the firmware update, because he tested my SIM profile on other phones and none got LTE and all had connection problems. He's looking into it and I should receive an update today or tomorrow. Essentially, he said this is very unusual and he's researching the 1308 firmware and the 1314 firmware as well to figure out what happened and how it can be fixed. I told him, why don't you guys push 1314 and find out haha!

I don't think I have had any issues. I was in an LTE area and was getting full bars no problem. Also I'm not using access point.

Interesting news. Thanks for that bit of info.. Btw, I was just prompted for an app update to access point. I opened it and Rogers LTE is still shown as active. Curious if this will improve anything..

Does this mean for non-Rogers users the setting Access Point is rendered useless?
Interestingly, while I cannot activate an Access Point, MMS/Internet sharing all work.

But I cannot get LTE.

Damn nation.
I wonder if that means I now have to manually enter the APN settings?

Its this kind of back and forth, no consistency that is driving me nuts
