I am having connection issues at the moment so I cannot download it.

To those who have downloaded it, any improvements that you have noticed? I hope this fixes the 'Other' storage issue.

Let us know.

On Orange UK (EE) and I'm downloading this update now too. I'll edit this post for what I find.

Okay the actual install process took about 15 mins.. that's from pressing the 'install' button and there's about 10 mins of spinning gears for me. Then the data migrates and after you get the confirmation message of a successful install you need to restart your phone. The OS details after this update are:

OS Version: 8.0.10211.204
Firmware revision number: 1232.59.57.1308.0020
Radio software version: 1.0.202093.3

I'll post in some screenshots soon about the storage check. There's a cool 'in progress' circular animation when the phone is checking its storage.

On the left is the storage details on my 920 before I applied the storage check. On the right is the freed up space after the storage was cleared. Freed up 4 GB!

As far as the camera improvements go here's a quick test I did. The first image was taken indoors with good light of a stick of RAM on my desk using the 1249 firmware.

The second image above was taken just now on the 1308 firmware. Both pictures were taken in the same lighting conditions and using the same settings on the phone's camera itself. The second image is a lot sharper and picks up some detail the previous image doesn't pick up on as well as the colour being slightly more accurate of the desk and RAM.

Does it clear the other storage to zero?

Updated fine for me (EE UK) will see how it performs. The auto brightness is my main annoyance at the moment so if that's fixed, all good

If anything my connectivity seems better with this update, strangely. Where I had either a plain G or a 1 bar 3G signal before I now have a much more reliable 3G+ signal. I don't have access to a 4G signal on my plan so I can't comment on that though.

I will refrain from downloading this update until I get more feedback from uk Lumia 920 users.

Btw, no 4G connectivity for us yet since LTE isn't prevalent in the uk yet except for EE. There should be a firmware update that will enable this for us.

I haven't noticed any connectivity issues so far, also Orange UK but not a branded phone. Still no sign of 4G being enabled in this update, asked Nokia about it on twitter and they said it would be operator dependent, but didn't reply when I asked about unbranded phones.

I've been on the 1308 firmware for some time. No connectivity issues at all - in fact like Muessig I would say that connectivity is better with this firmware.

Are you using an unbranded lumia?

You should have received it OTA.

Grrr I want this update on my 920. I would really like to get my 8GB of other data back. When I decided to upgrade to the 920, I was fully aware that there was no expandable memory but the fact that the 920 comes with 32GB of memory was adequate as that is the same amount of memory I had on my 808 including expandable. As it is, I'm unable to store much of the music and videos on the 920 as the space has been taken up with 'other'.

I hope my carrier (3 UK) make this available asap. Would also like to see quite a few other improvements too.
