Camera help text

When opening the camera I get text telling me to touch the screen or button to take pictures.

Its very distracting, how do I get rid of it?

I've never noticed my phone do that. Can you get a screenshot by pressing the power and start button together please?

Are you using a lens to take your picture? If I just use the camera I get no text. But if I select a lens, then I get text telling me what to do.

This is a lot like somebody else on the forum who has the volume warning pop up every time he wants to play something.. very odd.

Edit: really sorry my problem took longer than I thought to solve and I completely forgot!

Kept popping up for me till i used the hardware button to launch the camera, didnt happen again.

My mom just got a replacement lumia, and this is happening on hers too! It goes away though.

This is because you haven't used your camera to take a picture yet! This is fresh camera first time tip! It is easily reproducible - anyone who hard resets the phone and launches camera from hardware button you will get this till you take your first photo. I can take a screenshot after a hard reset for the sake of science if anyone doesn't believe this!
