phone won't charge

Hi

I've had my phone just over 2 weeks now and since last night it has stopped charging. I've tried several different chargers (ones that still charge other phones) and several USB cables and nothing. It makes a noise and has the charge logo over the battery for a few seconds then disappears again and stops charging. Also, everytime I turn the phone off, it doesn't turn back on again unless I do a hard reset.

I've done soft and hard resets and neither resolves the issue.

Any help?

I'd take it back to the carrier.
