How fast does Lumia 920 charges using wireless charging? Is it really worth to buy a wireless charger?

My 920 charges just as fast on the wireless charger as it does on the wired charger. This is one of my favorite features of the phone. I keep the wireless charger on my desk in my office so that it stays charged all day long but it is super easy to pick it up to answer a call.

Sometime soon I will get a second wireless charger so I can have one at home, too.

    I would say no.

I got a free wireless charger through ATT. My 920 gets very hot when I charge it from 0 battery wirelessly. But it doesn't get that hot through regular charging. I am worrying about my battery life if it is placed in high temperature so now I always use wired charging.

I have Nokia DT-900 wireless charger and work fine, in meantime get cheap Chinese wireless charger and seems not working good or i dont know to work with him... instructions manual is limited only to show how to place Lumia 920 to charging plate and thats all... when put Lumia 920 to charging plate, charging start and all is OK for first 5-15 minutes... after that blue led start blinking and start beeping continuously (seems some error which not explained in manual)... must remove phone and disconnect power and after that again is all ok for 5-15 minutes... anyone have advice or to forget this charger? thx...

p.s. i not use this Chinese charger now because not want to damage Lumia (if this possible)

You sure wired charging takes that long?
What's the rating of your charger?
Assuming the Lumia 620 comes with the same charger as the 920, it should be 1300 mA, resulting in a charging time of under two hours.

I used the Original Ac-16 Nokia Fast USB Charger.
I have timed the wireless and wired charging on my watch a few of times. So it is a "real life experience"

My original charger that came with the device can recharge the batter within Max 90 minutes. If i connect that USB cable with PC, it takes twice the time

Mine is at full charge in about 2 hrs, I use the wired charger that came eith the device. On my computer however the charging took about 4.5 hrs (thru USB) which is normal due to lower output.

The lazy person in me says yes. I use mine all the time, never plug in anything to it anymore. Wireless headphones, wireless charging, NFC transferring. Wires are sooo 2011 ;)

Some of you have probably seen my videos about wireless charging for instance when I try it through different materials. The last one, when I build a DIY wireless charging nightstand went a bit Viral over the weekend and I therefor received tons of questions about the Qi charger.

Since the same questions keep popping up no matter how many times I answered them I decided to make video.
I guess this is a bit overkill for this forum since most wpc-readers have a pretty good idea about wireless charging but I thought I share it anyways.

Wireless charging is pretty darn convenient. It's one of those things you don't appreciate as much until you use it. It's great to be able to pick up the phone from charging and just walk away. Is it worth $40? I think so. $80, probably not.
