Hi,

I have a Black Lumia 920 purchased in India. It's the unlocked version. I'll be traveling to the US in the next couple of weeks and would like to purchase a SIM card and use the phone on a local network. Which service would be best for this? Do any of them offer 4g speeds for prepaid customers?

My phone however, is not showing 4g/LTE as an option under settings/Mobile Networks. I believe this has something to do with the fact that Nokia hasn't activated that in the firmware distributed in India. Any tips on how to get LTE option on my phone so I could use LTE speeds while roaming in the US?

Thanks

Also look up Simple Mobile. They offer inexpensive packages through Tmobile and you could also just go to a mobile store, or find a ABC retailer.

The thing about straight talk is they only have T-Mobile cards right now and in most areas he would need 1700/2100 for 3G and I am not sure if his unlocked 920 has the 1700 frequency. He'll have to check the specs for his phone.

If he doesn't have the 1700 frequency, then he needs to go with AT&T or one on the AT&T MVNO's Listed here: http://forums.windowscentral.com/ca...s-mvnos-mobile-virtual-network-operators.html

straighttalk offers service on AT&T as well

Non-american here so I could be wrong.

Straight talks website has a big 4G and says it uses the 850 and 1900 MHz bands (which the 920 supports).
And $45 a month for unlimited everything sounds gooood.
