What happens to a 920 that's claimed missing/stolen?

A friend of mine filed an insurance claim for her 920 after I was unable to repair her cracked digitizer (the new digitizer we rec'd was also faulty). She claimed the phone as stolen because opening the phone voided the warranty. She paid the deductible and got a new 920. However, I was able to replace the digitizer today and the phone works again. My question is, when a phone is claimed missing/stolen, is it deactivated and unusable on cell networks? Is the phone tracked once the sim card is reinserted?

They'll have the IMEI of the phone on the insurance. Thus, the phone will be locked out from ALL networks in that country. For some bizarre reason though, you can use it still on networks in other countries...

Thanks. Is there any way she can get them to reverse that? She wants to use it as a backup phone just in case. If she tells them the phone was found and returned, can they reactivate it?
