camera performance degrading due to overtime placement on windshield car holder under sun?

for those that place the phone on a car holder, typically users that use nokia drive extensively.
Do you notice that your camera is degrading performance over time? I am thinking the sun is possibly damaging the lens and even the photo sensor? Just a thought.

Doesn't sound like a far fetched idea. Hot sun blazing into the lens for hours on a regular basis at least wont do any good for it. I dont usually have my in a car holder though, so I can't really actually help. The other option could be that the outside lens cover thing has just gotten a bit scratched or just smudgy just out of regular use.

Maybe placing the phone below the dashboard so it doesnt face too much of the sun?

I would ask someone from Nokia if the sun could cause damaged for long periods of time.

here drive on a car holder is such a wonderful app to use but I try not to use it now under the sun. : )
