Dropping 3G/4G after phone call

My 920 loses 3G/4G service and goes to Edge during a call. When I end the call it doesn't go back to a faster data connection as it should. I have to put it in and out of 'airplane mode' to get 3G/4G back. I have tried having the carrier set to both 'automatic' and 'manual' but it makes no difference. Does anyone else have this issue? I'm on EE's 4G network in the UK if that makes any difference?

Have you tried just using 3G as your highest speed?

Tried that as well. It's exactly the same
