I have an unlocked Nokia 920 that I have had on my T-Mobile network for the past 2 months and I keep having issues with MMS. I have contacted T-Mobile several times and they say the issue isn't on their side. I have also reset my phone, tried a ton of settings. And here is the odd part...it'll for a day, two, or even a week and then...it just stops working and I can't send but only receive, then the reverse, or just stops altogether....

Does anyone have any tips?

Here is the data that T-Mobile gave me:

Thank you for contacting T-Mobile's support!

Hey! I own a Nokia L920 on t-mobile also. Mine is an unlocked Rogers.

I used the access point app and it looked like it was working but it actually wasnt. I created my own access point though through the app using the address epc.tmobile.com instead of the fast.tmobile.com variant for the LTE network.

Internet APN: epc.tmobile.com
Network Type: IPv4

MMS APN: epc.tmobile.com
MMSC Address: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
Network Type: IPv4

Leave everything else BLANK!

After you input these in the access point make sure to turn off the phone and turn it on to see if it works. I still get LTE with these settings, so it should not affect that. I had to screw around with it a bit before it worked. Make sure you have your data on also before sending or receiving MMS's.

Hope this helped!

I would delete any APN settings you have under "Cellular" Download "Access Point" from the app store and input the APN settings I listed above.

Thats what worked for me!

And the odd thing is that when I set up what I have above... I could send no problem for about 5 mins then it stopped working. Does that make any sense?

Yeah try one more time. You might have to screw around with it a bit. I had too.

A lot of people are dealing with "expired" APN settings for MMS's. I have no idea why that is though. Mine has been working well for about a week now.

Yes. There should be a preset Access point that the app made. You can leave it. Create a new one with the settings that I stated above. Restart your phone and you should be good!

I did as you indicated and I can receive pics but I still can't send. What else did you try?
I still think it's crazy that it worked the old way for a bit and then just stopped. This is so frustrating as T-Mobile claims there isn't anything wrong on their side.

I sent a pic from phone a to phone b (the one with issues) and once I got it I saved it. I then sent that pic back to the phone A and it worked. But that's it -- I've now sent pics form both phones and neither works. I don't get this at all.

I have an unlocked 920 from India on T-Mobile..even I had a similar problem. Got resolved today by contacting live chat. They asked me to switch off my phone, remove sim card and refreshed my settings from their end. Yes they asked to delete as many msgs as possible before the troubleshooting.. Things r working gr8 since then..You should try it.

Thank you for this. At first I couldn't find it, and technical support was no help (they told me I wasn't getting the MMS images because the lumia 920 was lacking a certain band which it actually isn't lacking. Thanks T-MOBILE!). Turns out if you have an ATT phone that was locked (which I had unlocked by paying the ETF fee) you will not find access point in the store. So I had to download it using windowsphone.com onto my phone. After that I could finally get texts and such from T-Mobile. Would have never thought to do that till I saw this thread. Thank you for helping me finally fix what T-Mobile could not figure out.
