Hey VegaNovus! Thanks for the jumpstart! BTW I'm downloading your firmware right now. I'm going to try it with my Lumia 920 (I'm from the Philippines and Nokia is awkwardly quiet about any GDR2/amber related queries). BTW, is data sense available out of the box? Thanks!

Hey Vegas, on the Indian version , I was capped at 3G and pretty bad speeds. I've downloaded the France version, and getting the error above. I've renamed that file to "RM821_3047.0000.1326.2002_RETAIL_eu_france_267_02_239138_prd_signed.ffu" as mentioned, yet now I'm getting another error:

C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products\RM-821\B1E09708_RM821_059S6R5_3047.0000.1326.2002_068.vpl has invalid signature.

Any ideas?

Remove the B1E09708_ from the name of the file.

Data sense is there, OOBE.

Just to confirm is this a retail/open market ROM which is not linked to any specific carrier?

Not linked to any specific carriers, should work open.

In the morning, I'm going to kill all connections on my server and use a torrent instead, it will be easier to share! :smile:

I have rogers and it works. remember if you get any errors, you need to remove the checksum part of all the files, not just the one.

You must remove the checksum form each file not only the one you mentioned.

Nokia Lumia 920 AT&T Unlocked (red)

Type Designator: RM-820
Model Name: Nokia Lumia 920
Product Code: 059N5T7
Software Version: 1232.5962.1314.0001

I have both rm-820 and rm-821 folders in the right destination program data folder, and searched both folders in NCS 5.0. Still get the following error:
"0xFA001304: Platform ID check fails. Reason(s): The FFU file is not meant for this product. The platform ID of image does not match with platform ID of the device."

Anything wrong with the removing checksum part? It should be 11 files. And I also came across someone saying that the ROM base can be used on any Lumia 920, regardless of what ROM base it originally has.

Thank you TS. The flash process was quick and painless. Running Amber on my Lumia 920 now.

Good. Lord.
I must be the stupidest person on the planet because I cannot get this to work. I've removed the checksums (really, why exactly are those still there?) but when I attempt to flash the phone it immediately validating, waits a bit and then quickly says "rebooting", waits a few seconds and the displays this error message :

Invalid response from device, incorrect message id
Nokia.Murzim.InvalidResponseException: Invalid response from device, incorrect message id
at Nokia.Murzim.Uefi.BootManager.MurzimBootManager.InfoQuery()
at Nokia.CareSuite.PlugIns.MurzimRecovery.RecoveryDialog.RecoveryDialogModel.Flash()
at Nokia.CareSuite.PlugIns.MurzimRecovery.RecoveryDialog.RecoveryDialogModel.<HandleDownloadVariantPackageCompleted>b__8(Object state)

Any ideas? AT&T Red Lumia 920.

Nah bro, I have the same phone, Unlocked Version. I must be the stupidest person on this forums. I followed exactly what VegaNovus said, and still continue to have problems..

Recovery Failed:
0xFA001304: Platform ID check fails. Reason(s): The FFU file is not meant for this product. The platform ID of image does not match with platform ID of the device.

I'm about to get myself OWNED if someone finds my mistake...

I may have found my problem. I was using another version of the care software, not the one linked, so I couldn't select "external". Now I'm waiting 5 hours to download 149 megabytes. And then I'm pretty sure something else won't work.

Do you have your phone plugged in, in recovery mode?
