Yes, it works for both.

It works for both to stabilize video and create blur free photos (in an ideal world).

Blur?this is good?i don't think...i believed that ois in photos works like that: when you move while capture a photo,the photo isn't blur but clear

The product page list OIS under Main Camera and Main Video Camera features. The camera housing is sitting on springs. Always on No software to my knowledge.
